Who are you and what do you do?
Anthony Oliver. I'm currently a vision system engineer. I setup, install, and support vision systems for automation that do error proofing, traceability, and identification. I obtained my software engineering degree from Michigan Technological University last December. I've been involved with computer programming since the age of 14. Was a Google Summer of Code
student working on a Drupal CMS module in 2007 and got more involved with the Drupal Ann Arbor Group
which is how I heard about ArbCamp. ![]()
Why are you attending ArbCamp?
I am very interested in anything related to GRIN (Genetics, Robotics, Information Tech, and Nanotech). Always interested in meeting like minds and enjoying discussing technology.
If you were to lead a session, what would it be about?
Maybe talk about Drupal as a platform for communication. Maybe talk about the singularity. Not really sure, I'm not the best presenter.
Tell us one random fact about yourself.
I have my initials in binary code tattooed on my arm.
Where can we find you?

The Shadow Art Fair
is a juried event that allows local artists to exhibit and sell their works within a comfortable, friendly, and supportive setting. This one-day, 12-hour event is held two times a year at The Corner Brewery
in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Local music, featured brews, and other special activities add a distinct flavor and sense of community to this creative showcase.
The next Shadow Art Fair is December 6, 2008, noon to midnight, at the Corner Brewery.
Admission to the event is 2 cents. Per the Corner Brewery, if you are under 21, you must be accompanied by a parent to be admitted.
Other highlights:
- the special Shadow Brew will be on tap in the evening. This winter's edition is a stout made with chocolate, raspberries, blueberries, beets and other goodnesses.
- the Ann Arbor Film Festival's space will be accompanied by the PLAY gallery's Animation Station, which allows you to make your own animations on-the-spot.
- The Ypsilanti Citizen will be broadcasting live from the Brewery, conducting interviews and covering the event.
- The recipients of our first round of grant-giving will be there (Washtenaw County's CSTS), with a display demonstrating what they were able to do with the grant they received over the summer. They used their funds to support their "Art and Recovery Project."
